Yael is an Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's qualification from NIDA. From a young age, Yael has been lucky to have worked with some of the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of theatre and visionaries who work working behind the scenes of film as well as theatre and television. Yael has a successful career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael found her new location in New York City when the production played to critical acclaim in BAM. Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. Working from a studio at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the The Cannery promotes new writing and imaginative, inventive ventures.
